Vehicles

A vehicle is an object you travel in. Ground, water, and air share one stat block; spacecraft are vehicles too, split onto their own page because their drives define whole settings.

Cruise is the comfortable all-day speed; Max is the redline. Terrain says where those speeds hold — a road car divides its speed on rough ground, an off-roader barely notices. Passengers and Cargo are capacity. As with every object, the interesting variety is adjectives: sporty, luxury, police, cheap/rusty — see the Vehicle Modification set on the Equipment page. Travel time, pursuit, and crashes run off these numbers rather than a separate subsystem.

The original vehicle — self-fuelling, cross-country, and a character in its own right. A *warhorse* (destrier) is one adjective on this noun.
